The role of a Youth Advisor to the Board is to contribute to the work of the Board in furthering the charitable objectives of the organisation, in accordance with the aims and principles of UNICEF and the constitution of UNICEF UK.
The current Youth Advisors are Lauren Eaves and Harry Phinda.
The role of the Youth Advisor is advisory and the main tasks of the role are to:
- To contribute to the formulation and review of the strategic aims and plans of the organisation and evaluating progress.
- To contribute to discussions where the trustees ensure that the policy and practices of the organisation are in keeping with its aims.
- To contribute to discussions where the trustees ensure that the organisation functions within the legal and financial requirements of a UK charitable organisation and strives to achieve best practice.
- To contribute to discussions where the trustees ensure that the organisation applies its funds in pursuit of its charitable objectives and is financially stable and effectively administered.
