    • Can you do more to promote breastfeeding outside the NHS? The Baby Friendly Initiative's remit is primarily to support health professionals to adopt best practice standards in the NHS. This is in recognition of the vital role played by the health-care system in getting breastfeeding off to a good start.

      What should be done with skin-to-skin contact in the case of a caesarean birth? Many units do offer skin contact in theatre as it is being recognised as an effective way of maintaining a calm and stable mother.
