The Department of Health, with support from the Baby Friendly Initiative, has produced two breastfeeding care pathways for mothers and health professionals.
Breastfeeding care pathway is a useful one-sheet reference guide for health professionals showing the standards of care they should be providing. It is based around the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and the Seven Point Plan for Sustaining Breastfeeding in the Community.
