A Gift Aid declaration is a statement by an individual taxpayer that gives permission for a charity to reclaim from Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), the tax paid on their donations. This is a great way to add 25 per cent to the value of your gift to UNICEF UK at no extra cost to you.
The declaration will cover all donations made to UNICEF in the past four years and any future donations, as long as you are paying enough tax during the year to cover your total annual donations. You can support more than one UK charity using the Gift Aid scheme providing you complete a declaration for each charity.
