Our East Herts Group was started 35 years ago by Mrs Felicia Stuart-Williams, who is now aged 91 and still an Honorary Member.
Each year we organise four functions inspired by activities we hope our friends will enjoy. Our regular events are a quiz night with a supper, a tennis tournament and a bridge day. The fourth event is changeable; for example, recently we held a summer lunch in our Chairman’s garden, which raised £1,900. There were garden-themed stalls and, luckily, the weather was sunny! We do not raise our funds for specific crises, but entrust UNICEF to spend the money where it is most needed.
