The 10-kilometre London night walk took place on Wednesday 21 September 2011 and was officially opened by singer Lemar. Funds raised this year will help transform the lives of children by providing education and improved healthcare.
Starting near Tower Bridge and passing some of the city's most iconic landmarks, the route returned over the Golden Jubilee Bridge and along the vibrant South Bank. Along the route were refreshments and entertainment, with Heart radio leading the cheering in the post-walk celebrations. The event was a huge success.
Last year, over 800 people took part and raised over £60,000. These donations gave support and healthcare to vulnerable children in London, and provided equipment and trained teachers to give children in Rwanda the best possible education. This year we hope to raise even more.

"I took part last year with my family and it was an amazing evening, enjoying the sites of London at night while raising money to support UNICEF's education projects in Rwanda. Last year we raised an incredible £60,000! As a UNICEF Ambassador I have seen UNICEF's work first hand and know what a difference this will make to the lives of 1000s of children."
Charley Boorman, UNICEF UK Ambassador
