On Tuesday 17 August, UNICEF participated in a Livestream Q&A session on the children's crisis in East Africa.

The panel featured:

  • Angelique Kidjo, Singer and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador
  • Louis-Georges Arsenault, Director of UNICEF Emergency Operations
  • Maulid Aden Warfa, Emergency Specialist for UNICEF Central and Southern Somalia

Angelique Kidjo has travelled extensively to developing countries, and will bring her own experience as an African. Louis-Georges, who just returned from the region and Maulid, who is currently based in Nairobi and is frequently in Somalia, will be sharing their own perspectives on the current situation.
