Over 350,000 people have fled conflict in Libya - mainly to neighbouring Tunisia and Egypt - creating a humanitarian crisis in all three countries. Throughout the region, UNICEF is working with partners and coordinating child protection and water and sanitation services. In Tunisia, we are providing psycho-social support to children, early development kits and a child-friendly space, as well as a vaccination campaign for children and pregnant women in transit camps. But as the conflict continues, more funds are needed to meet the needs of the affected children. UNICEF is appealing for £4.5 million to continue our work in the area.

The vaccination campaign in Tunisia has so far reached almost 100 children with vaccines against diseases such as tuberculosis, tetanus and measles.
