Charles from Uganda was only twelve-years-old when his mother died from an HIV-related illness. Now orphaned, he became head of the household, taking over the care of his younger brothers and sisters, including his new little sister Kaseo, who was born shortly before his mother died.
We are so pleased to bring you the latest news we have of Charles and his family. Charles, Kaseo, and his other siblings have all tested negative for HIV. With support from UNICEF, Charles is also back in school, as you can see from the photos below.
