Famine has now been declared in five separate areas of southern Somalia, which is suffering its worst drought in 50 years.

UNICEF has estimated that over two million young children are malnourished and in need of urgent life-saving action in East Africa. High food prices, ongoing conflict and a prolonged drought are worsening an already dire situation for many hundreds of thousands in need of food and water.

UNICEF urgently requires funds to reach malnourished children in East Africa. Please donate now.
