International Inspiration is the ground-breaking international legacy programme of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The programme was created after London won the bid for the 2012 Games, following Sebastian Coe's pledge to "reach young people allO around the world and connect them to the inspirational power of the Games."
This report details some highlights from the eighteen countries currently involved in the International Inspiration programme. Some of International Inspiration’s key achievement so far include:
• 12 million children and young people have actively participated in sport, physical education and play as a direct result of International Inspiration – many for the first time in their lives.
• Around 79,000 teachers, coaches and young leaders have been trained to lead sport, physical education and play in their schools and communities, learning new skills.
The report also includes an introduction from Sir Keith Mills, the Deputy Chair of the London Organising Committee.
