Children are hardest hit by emergenices, like floods, droughts and war: losing lives, parents, homes and schools. Thanks to your support, UNICEF has committed more than £48 million to help children affected by emergencies in 2011.
UNICEF:
- supplied measles vaccinations for 62.3 million children
- provided 18.5 million people with access to safe water
- treated at least 1.2 million children suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
