Your donations and fundraising support for Unicef saved millions of lives in 2011.

Children across East Africa faced a desperate hunger crisis caused by prolonged drought, soaring food prices and ongoing conflict in Somalia. It left 6.7 million children needing urgent help.

The response from the UK public was unbelievable. Our emergency appeal for East Africa's children raised an amazing £6.3 million.

These donations helped Unicef treat nearly a million malnourished children, vaccinate over a million children against measles, and ensure that more than two million people had access to clean water. Thank you.
