Early warning systems predicted that more than a million children in the Sahel lacked proper food and needed urgent help.
Thanks to your donations and fundraising, UNICEF helped provide countries like Chad, Niger, Cameroon, Mali and Mauritania with emergency food, supplies and healthcare.
In 2012, we treated over 730,000 children under five for severe acute malnutrition, vaccinated 1.9 million children for measles, and provided 7.3 million families with mosquito nets.
