Duncan Bannatyne is perhaps best known for his role on the BBC programme Dragons' Den. One of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs, he was awarded an OBE for his services to charity in 2004.

Duncan started supporting UNICEF in 1994 and in 2000 he travelled to Romania to visit UNICEF projects. He was incredibly moved by what he saw and since then Duncan has continued to support UNICEF’s work, both personally and through his company Bannatyne Fitness.

Duncan was named an Honorary Fellow of UNICEF in 2003, following his personal commitment and enthusiasm for UNICEF's work. He was appointed a UNICEF UK Ambassador in February 2009.

Most recently, Duncan visited UNICEF's water and sanitation projects in Bolivia where he travelled up the Amazon basin to see how water pumps work in the area.
