As a global index provider, FTSE works with the world's exchanges and regulators to help develop their financial market infrastructures, and share information with investors.

The company believes that sustainable market development has an important social dimension and shows its support to communities by working with UNICEF.

FTSE has supported several projects, including two UNICEF HIV and AIDS prevention projects in Mozambique. Staff have also voted to support a project in Sudan that focuses on baby and child malnutrition.

Mark Makepeace, Chief Executive, FTSE Group: "FTSE is proud to have supported UNICEF, over the last 10 years, in their work to protect children's rights globally. We have raised over £3million from our world renowned FTSE4Good Index to provide basic necessities such as clean water, nutritional supplements and vital medicine to millions of 'at risk' children, especially in war torn or disaster-affected countries.

"Supporting UNICEF is a hugely worthwhile experience for everyone at FTSE. We look forward to continuing our partnership and giving vulnerable children around the world a better start in life."
