Soft Toys for Education Campaign

In 2013, the annual campaign ran from October through December in all IKEA stores around the world. For each soft toy or children’s book purchased, the IKEA Foundation donated €1 to Unicef and Save the Children.

Thanks to the dedicated IKEA customers and co-workers who supported the 2013 campaign, we were able to raise a fantastic €10.1 million! Watch this short video about this year’s soft toy super heroes.

Since the beginning of our partnership in 2003, the Soft Toys for Education campaign has raised nearly €67 million, which has helped improve the educational opportunities of more than 11 million children in 46 countries.

A small contribution can make a big difference to a lot of children. The donations help Unicef and Save the Children train teachers in child-friendly teaching methods, improve child protection systems, supply educational materials, and increase school attendance rates.
