In October 2010, UNICEF and Kantar launched the Brighter Futures partnership to help vulnerable children have a better life and allow them to fulfil their true potential. The partnership committed to raise $1 million by 2014 to support projects in Bangladesh, Bolivia and Malawi.  Incredibly, staff hit the $1 million target two years early, and are still actively raising even more funds to continue supporting projects in all three countries.

Kantar launched the partnership during Universal Children’s Day, where employees worldwide sold Brighter Futures wristbands in the offices.  Since then, staff have climbed Kilimanjaro, cycled the Andes to Amazon, trekked the Himalayas, and this year, will be conquering the Great Wall of China.

Sharon Potter, Kantar’s Chair of the Global Steering Committee for Brighter Futures, commented: “Kantar staff have been inspired by the work UNICEF do.  The Brighter Futures programme has encouraged cross-company collaboration to support the projects in Bangladesh, Bolivia and Malawi and there is a real, community feel to our fundraising.  We are very proud to be working with UNICEF and know that we are helping them to make a real difference in children’s lives.
