UNICEF UK works in Parliament to protect child rights by improving government policy and practice on child rights, and encouraging parliamentarians to put it right for children in the UK and internationally.

We work to ensure child rights issues are raised frequently in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. For example, we work with Select Committees and All-Party Parliamentary Groups, and encourage parliamentarians to table Early Day Motions (EDM), parliamentary questions and debates on issues related to our work, as well as providing briefings to parliamentarians and lobbying for changes to legislation.
