Sample infant feeding policies
These sample infant feeding policies and self-assessment checklists are designed to support services when writing their own policies.
Policies and checklists are available for maternity, neonatal, health visiting and children’s centre services. Facilities are welcome to adopt a sample policy in its entirety, to incorporate parts of it into an existing policy, or to use it in another way. It is important to note, however, that deviation from any of the basic elements of the policy will result in a policy which does not meet the criteria.
