Welcome
UNICEF UK is the official charity partner for Big Earth, the producers of TV shows, Long Way Round, Long Way Down and By Any Means.
Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s adventure began in 2004, as they set off around the world by motorbike from London to New York. During their trip, they visited UNICEF projects supporting children in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, and were both inspired to become long-term UNICEF supporters.
In 2008, Charley made his way across the globe from Ireland to Australia, using over 100 different forms of transport. The new series of By Any Means follows Charley from Sydney, Australia up the Pacific rim to Tokyo, Japan. On the way, he visits UNICEF projects in Indonesia and the Philippines, to raise awareness of our vital work protecting children's rights around the world.
