UNICEF UK. For all the world's children - health, education, equality, protection
Donate online to UNICEF's work to End Child Trafficking

Every year, over a million children are trafficked into the modern-day equivalent of slavery. They are secretly transported across borders and sold like commodities or trafficked within countries for the sole purpose of exploitation. It is a crime that violates the basic rights of children, including their right to a childhood. A crime which can - and does - destroy lives.

Some 1.2 million children are now estimated by the UN to be trafficked each year. To achieve our ultimate aim of ending the exploitation of children and protecting their right to be a child, UNICEF is working to build a protective environment where children can grow up safe from exploitation.

UNICEF UK’s End Child Trafficking campaign aims to:

  • Raise public awareness of child trafficking and exploitation.
  • Raise funds to support practical programmes which protect children from trafficking and work to end child exploitation.
  • Call for the protection and support of trafficked children and the strengthening of UK policy and practice.
