Every year, over a million children are trafficked into the modern-day equivalent of slavery. They are secretly transported across borders and sold like commodities or trafficked within countries for the sole purpose of exploitation. It is a crime that violates the basic rights of children, a crime which can - and does - destroy lives.

Some 1.2 million children are now estimated by the UN to be trafficked annually. To achieve our ultimate aim of ending the exploitation of children, UNICEF is working to build a protective environment where children can grow up safe from exploitation.

UNICEF UK’s campaign to End Child Trafficking aims to:

  • Raise public awareness regarding child trafficking and exploitation.
  • Raise funds to support practical programmes which protect children from trafficking and work to end child exploitation. Please make a donation to support the campaign.
  • Call for the protection and support of trafficked children and the strengthening of UK policy and practice. Please take action to support the campaign.
