Statement of Intent
From time to time, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and email address etc) in order to purchase products and to receive or use services on this website. Such products include UNICEF-branded cards and merchandise, and other merchandise sold through UNICEF shops. Such services include eGreetings, newsletters, and other personalised services that could be offered in the future. By entering your details in the fields requested, you will enable UNICEF and its National Committees to provide you with the products and services you select. Whenever you provide such personal information, we will treat that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Our services are designed to give you the information that you want to receive. UNICEF and its National Committees will of course respect your privacy as far as possible and will act in accordance with current internet best practice.
Information on visitors
During the course of any visit to the UNICEF Shop Web Site, the pages which you see, along with something called a "cookie", are downloaded to your computer (see the paragraph below for more on this). Most, if not all, web sites do this, and that's because cookies allow the web site publisher to do useful things like find out whether the computer (and probably its user) has visited the site before. Where personal information is held for people who are not yet registered, but have taken part in other Online services, that information will be held only as long as necessary to ensure that the service is run smoothly. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely.
Access to your personal information
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information about you that has been derived from the UNICEF Shop Web Site, and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Please address requests to the Data Protection Officer There is a fee for this service.

As part of our service we offer you the option of setting up a personal address book to keep track of your important addresses and reminders. TERMS OF USE
Users under 18
If you are under 18, please make sure that you obtain your parent's or guardian's permission before you provide personal information to the UNICEF Shop Web Site. Financial Transactions
All on-line financial transactions are handled securely to ensure confidentiality and we protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
You will be charged with your eGreeting credit purchases prior to their despatch. When receiving your credit card statement the transaction will appear on your statement as "UNICEF".
Enquiries regarding refunds or cancellations should be addressed to the relevant party in Section 23.
We will endeavour in all circumstances to respond to your queries via email or telephone within a maximum of 48 hours. We will ensure that the cardholder is not debited until the goods have been delivered or the service has been rendered completely. In the unlikely event that goods are not immediately available, the cardholder will be informed immediately.
