How your support will make a difference
Millions of children around the world are in danger of contracting polio –a highly infectious disease that can lead to life-long paralysis. There is no cure for polio, but there is a safe and effective vaccine. Three polio vaccines give a lifetime of immunity, meaning it costs as little as 27p to protect a child forever.
Less than 30 years ago, polio was endemic in 125 countries. Today, thanks to successful vaccination programmes, like those funded by easyJet and UNICEF’s Change for Good partnership, there are just two: Pakistan and Afghanistan. We are so close to the goal of ending polio forever, but to do so we have to reach every child.
The money you raise by taking on Ride100 will help keep children safe from polio.
