Sir Roger Moore KBE, long-standing UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, today appealed to Britons to dig out their old francs, pesetas, lire and other unwanted European currency to support UNICEF’s work for children across the world.  Sir Roger Moore was at HSBC’s Poultry and Princes street branch to launch the unique six-month appeal which will see Change for Good, the award-winning British Airways appeal for UNICEF roll out in HSBC banks, offering the public their last chance to convert old European currency.

New ICM research revealed that three out of 10 Britons still have old European currencies at home.  Over a quarter estimated they had more than £20, and 45% said they had at least £10, if donated to UNICEF this could make a real difference to the lives of many children.  £10 would provide 293 children with a litre of clean drinking water each, prevent 161...
