Manchester United players showed their on-going commitment to UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, by recording a series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) which deliver important social messages about UNICEF’s priority issues for children across the world.
Sir Alex Ferguson, Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs, Mikael Silvestre, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Quinton Fortune and Cristiano Ronaldo were all filmed for the 60 second messages which encourage support for UNICEF’s programme work on HIV/AIDS, child trafficking, child exploitation and girls education. The footage will be distributed to UNICEF’s offices across the developed and developing world to support advocacy and communications activities in the coming year. Silvestre and Ronaldo recorded messages in their native languages, broadening the appeal of the PSAs to French and Portuguese speaking countries. ...
