Today, UNICEF will release a special edition of their flagship report outlining the serious challenges that lie ahead for children’s rights globally.
Released on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF’s The State of the World's Children report shows that, over the last 20 years, millions of children have received the vital medical treatment previously denied to them and more than ever are living past their first five years.
However, it also reveals that millions of children still lack access to the quality health care services, nutritious food, education, improved water sources and sanitation facilities and adequate shelter they need to thrive and survive.
