Unicef UK offers a range of support options to work jointly with school leaders to achieve the Rights Respecting Schools Award. Feedback from work with both primary and secondary schools identifies that the timescale to achieve Level 1 is generally between 12 and 18 months and Level 2 about a further 18 to 24 months.

Schools find that working directly with our Professional Advisors enables them to maintain progress through to becoming fully rights-respecting and being accredited as Level 2. Although some schools report an early impact, it appears from the reports from most schools that the greatest impact takes place between two and three years of working towards the award.

School visits

We can offer tailored support to individual schools through visits. Visit the Support Visits page for more information.

Cluster support

We can offer support by cluster of schools. School cluster packages provide similar support to the individual school support package but offer economies in terms of joint working. Please get in touch with us for more information.
