In 2011, comedian and actor Eddie Izzard spent time in Kenya experiencing first-hand the effects of the severe food crisis that is ravaging East Africa.

Eddie met Hussain, 2, who was severely malnourished.

His organs had begun to shut down one by one to give his heart enough energy to continue beating. It was touch and go whether he would survive.

Hussain’s dad drove the family for three days to bring Hussain to a UNICEF-supported hospital.

Now, he is being fed milk directly into his stomach because his muscles have wasted away from starvation.

But he is gaining strength and soon he will be strong enough to go on to life-saving emergency food.

Your donation can help Soccer Aid make sure that children like Hussain survive and thrive.
