This year, Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton went to Manila in the Philippines, where he met Reynold, one of millions of children living rough on the streets around the world.

Reynold, 10, is not able to go to school. Instead, he sells scraps and begs in order to buy food for his younger brothers Arnold, 9, and Rico, 2.

They live in an old push cart on the edge of a busy market, unsheltered from the wind and rain, and at risk of disease, violence and exploitation.

"The young boys and girls who I have met are living without the simple things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water and a safe place to sleep at night", said Lewis.

"Just a little money can make a huge difference for vulnerable children living tough lives around the world. It could be the difference between life and death for a child."

UNICEF is working to get children like Reynold, off the streets and into a safe place.

You can help give these children and others the chance to eat nutritious food, have access to essential medicines and most importantly, have a childhood.
