“As a mum to two young children, I know how hard parenting can be. That’s why I’m proud to stand alongside UNICEF UK, as the Baby and Toddler Guarantee would mean every parent and carer gets much-needed access to the right services at the right time, to not only support their babies but their own wellbeing too.”
In September 2023 Cat joined UNICEF UK campaigners at Downing Street to hand in a growing petition calling on the UK Government to improve early childhood service across the country. The petition was signed by over 65,000 people including parents, carers and supporters countrywide urging the UK Government to step up support for children under 5 and their families by committing to a national Baby and Toddler Guarantee.
I ask her what future she wants for her daughter:
"I want her to be a doctor; first career, then marriage. I did not get this opportunity but I want to give it to my daughter."

Cat’s time with UNICEF
Cat’s first visit with UNICEF was to the Philippines in 2008 to see our projects with street children for Soccer Aid. She has continued to support Soccer Aid, travelling to Madagascar to see UNICEF’s immunisation work and Serbia when she visited an institution for abandoned children.
Cat has also supported UNICEF’s corporate partnerships including Barclays, M&S and British Airways. In 2013 she travelled to India to visit young women in the urban slums of Mumbai and rural villages of Chandrapur, who were being empowered with financial and business skills through the UNICEF and Barclays Building Young Futures programme.
Cat, along with a number of well-known faces, supported our New Year’s Eve campaign encouraging people to make a resolution they can keep and help children affected by the conflict in Syria.
