Celebrities can't get enough of the Unite for Children, Unite against AIDS campaign. David Beckham, Robbie Williams, Ewan McGregor, Claudia Schiffer and Jemima Khan are among the stars doing their bit to help children affected by AIDS. With their help, we can stop children from being the missing face of AIDS.
Jemima helped to launch the campaign in the UK. She said: "AIDS is a disease which affects millions of children. AIDS deprives children of their parents, their health, their education, their security, but most of all AIDS deprives children of their childhood."
Claudia said: "Next time you hear the expression, 'children are the future', remember the children affected by AIDS who don't live with such certainty. We can all do something to give them a future and make it one that's worth living for."
Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman went the Long Way Round, travelling from London to New York and more recently, the Long Way Down through Africa, visiting UNICEF projects along the way. Ewan also went out to Malawi to see for himself how childhoods are being destroyed by HIV and AIDS. He said: "A sick child. An orphaned child. A child caring for his dying parent. An eight-year old child bringing up a younger sibling. A child out of school. A child forced to survive on the streets. A child growing up alone, growing up too soon, or not growing up at all. It needn't be like that. No matter who you are or what you do, this campaign matters. Unite for children against AIDS." Check out a video from his trip here.
Meanwhile, Robbie and David teamed up to make a film to support the campaign, which was launched on MTV. Check out the video here.
