Young people from 15 countries gather in Chitose, Japan, for the annual Junior 8 Summit, to discuss global issues such as poverty, climate change and HIV.

The Junior 8 kicks off with an opening ceremony at Lake Shikotsu, followed by daily discussions of each topic at the Chitose Cultural Centre.

Then comes the drafting of the Chitose Declaration and the meeting with the world leaders.
