It is important that children and young people’s perspectives and engagement are at the heart of community responses.
Children have the right to be heard, and for their views to be taken seriously when decisions are being taken that impact their lives. As practitioners, we should continue to enable their sharing of incredible ideas, innovative approaches and examples of resilience.
This guidance is for practitioners working directly with children and young people during this period of lockdown and beyond.
As cities and communities continue to respond to the crisis, children should have a meaningful say in, and truly benefit from, the local decisions, services and spaces that shape their lives.
