Lifestyle brand ALEX AND ANI aims to positively impact the planet and communities through its Charity By Design ® division. The company believes that all children and young people should be able to lead happy, healthy and peaceful lives – their childhood today paves the way to a more peaceful, brighter future for all.

In support of this vision, ALEX AND ANI has committed to raising at least $2 million for Unicef’s work as a corporate partner by February 2019.

ALEX AND ANI campaigns for Unicef 

Founder, CEO, and Chief Creative Officer of ALEX AND ANI, Carolyn Rafaelian has designed two bracelets so that people can proudly show their personal commitment to building a better world:

From 15 August 2016 until 2019, ALEX AND ANI will donate 15% of the purchase price* towards Unicef’s work. The bracelets are available at ALEX AND ANI stores, authorized retailers and the ALEX AND ANI website.

Previous campaigns from ALEX AND ANI

In spring and summer 2016, ALEX AND ANI’s Earth’s Caretakers and Deep Sea Wonders collections featuring colored enamel creatures such as bumblebees, cicadas, angel fish and lobsters, were sold in support of Unicef’s work. Each creature represented the individual roles we can all play in making the world a better place.

How the support of ALEX AND ANI will make a difference

The number of children impacted by humanitarian crises and natural disasters around the world is sobering. Nearly 250  million children live in countries affected by violent, often protracted conflicts; and millions more are endangered as a result of living in areas prone to floods, earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis and other natural disasters.

The support of ALEX AND ANI will help Unicef to address the immediate needs of these vulnerable children, and to use the transformative power of education and play to help them heal from trauma, promote peace, and have a brighter future.

Through these initiatives, ALEX AND ANI and customers are contributing towards reaching Global Goal 16 – establishing peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development.
