Working with Unicef
London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is a diversified international market infrastructure and capital markets business that sits at the heart of the world’s financial community.
The Group can trace its history back to 1698. Through LSEG Foundation, the Group focuses its community investment programme on helping young people from disadvantaged background develop the life and business skills they need, so that their future is driven by opportunity, not dictated by circumstance.
Building on an 18-year partnership between Unicef and FTSE Russell, part of LSEG’s Information Services Division, LSEG Foundation appointed Unicef as LSEG’s global charity partner in 2015 for a period of three years, with an overall commitment of £1.5 million. The partnership covers a contribution to a community investment programme in Zambia aimed at the development of employability and business enterprise skills of young women. LSEG Foundation also contributes to Unicef’s Children’s Emergency Fund.
As part of the partnership, Unicef has been providing LSEG with staff engagement opportunities for its employees, continuing to galvanise support for the world’s most vulnerable children through involvement in fundraising initiatives and learning opportunities around the issues of children’s rights protection.
