How will my donation help children?
Unicef is on the ground in Yemen working round the clock to protect children. We are experienced in responding to cholera outbreaks even in limited funding environments. Coordinated response in healthcare and water, sanitation and hygiene can lead to the steady decline in the incidence of the disease.
Since the start of the crisis, we have helped to provide 5 million people with clean water, vaccinated 5 million children against polio and treated 237,000 children for severe acute malnutrition.
With your help, we can provide long-term aid and ensure that displaced children do not miss out on an education. Through Unicef-supported schools and child-friendly spaces, children can continue lessons and receive psychosocial care and support to help them cope with distress and trauma. But we simply don’t have enough funds to reach every child in danger. Right now, a staggering 10 million children are in danger in Yemen.

For the first 12 months, monthly donations made to this appeal will go to children affected by the Yemen conflict. After that they will go to our Children’s Emergency Fund. In the unlikely event that the funds raised exceed Unicef’s funding requirements for this appeal, your one off or monthly gift will also go to the Children’s Emergency Fund.
