Why is a gift in my Will so important?

Gifts in wills are vital to our life-saving work. They give us the funds we need to reach the most vulnerable children, wherever they are and whatever they need.

Leaving a gift in your will to Unicef will transform children’s lives.

Why should I leave a gift in my Will to Unicef?

Unicef is the leading organisation for children. We ensure more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation.

In fact, Unicef provides 80% of the world’s life-saving emergency food to help children like Alice.

We have been working for over 70 years to help children. And until every child is safe, we won’t stop.

How can leaving a gift in my Will help children?

Millions of people still lack access to safe drinking water around the world. For children this is critical with sanitation-related diseases, such as diarrhoea, one of the biggest killers of children under five.

In Burundi, Unicef is working in partnership with the government to help bring safe water to families and schools. This will have an intergenerational impact on students like young Adrien (pictured right).

For 10-year-old Nadia, clean water in their village means she can now be on time to school after fetching water for her family each morning. “I am relieved because I [now] find the drinking water nearby and I do not have to walk long distances as before,” she says.

Unicef works in more than 190 countries to help children like Adrien and Nadia receive the support they need to realise their dreams. Through Unicef, you can leave a lasting legacy for children.
