As a registered charity Unicef UK relies entirely on voluntary donations to fund our work for children and their rights.

The Rights Respecting Schools Award does not make a profit – our charges simply aim to cover the costs of running the programme. We have reviewed our charges in line with developing a stronger programme model to encourage schools to make faster progress. After consultation with headteachers we have linked charges explicitly to school size.

We do want all interested schools to be able to become rights respecting so please contact us if the fees cause any difficulties. If you have any questions, email us at rrsa@unicef.org.uk.

Registration to Bronze Cost

The charge for Registration and achieving Bronze gives you access to digital training and support including our Welcome Pack so your school can achieve Bronze accreditation as quickly as possible. Your Bronze certificate and detailed feedback on your planning are all included in this charge.

As a registered school you are provided with:

  • Central administrative email and telephone support
  • Support from an experienced Professional Advisor
  • Half-termly email newsletters letting you know about training and support options, teaching resources and RRSA school successes

100 – 249 pupils £400
250 – 499 pupils £600

Are you ready? We know what helps schools to make good progress, so when you click on the registration link below please note the things you ought to think about before committing to registration. You can register online for the Rights Respecting Schools Award, and we will send you an invoice.

School support

We offer two types of support: support visits to schools, and cluster support. Schools find that working directly with our Professional Advisors supports them to engage all staff and make effective progress.

Support Visits

We offer tailored support to individual schools through support visits and bespoke training delivered in your school. The nature of the support needed will be agreed by Unicef UK’s Professional Advisor and the school’s RRSA programme lead.

Support visits can be booked by schools on a day or half day basis. The visits should be booked a minimum of one month in advance.

  • Half day support: £500 (up to 50 participants), £750 (over 50 participants)
  • Full day support: £900 (up to 50 participants), £1350 (over 50 participants)
  • Support visits: £350 –  2 hours
  • Twilight support visits (after school hours): £350 –  1.5 hours to 2 hours

Contact your RRSA Professional Advisor to book any support days or visits. For questions, email us at rrsa@unicef.org.uk.

Cluster support for groups of schools in one area

We can offer support on becoming rights respecting to schools by group or cluster of schools.

Like individual school visits, cluster support to schools will vary in nature and can be tailored to the group’s needs. School cluster packages offer economies in terms of joint working.
