The Rugby League World Cup 2021 are helping us to support 100 schools across the North East of England and Yorkshire to become Rights Respecting.

The Rugby League World Cup 2021 will provide support for registration, accreditation and training in the run up to the tournament. Support is available to schools in:

  • Newcastle
  • Sheffield
  • York
  • Doncaster
  • Tees Valley (Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton and Darlington.)

Find out more about what is means to be a Rights Respecting School.

How can my school get involved?

  1. New schools can receive 50% off registration costs, Silver accreditation plus access to free virtual training courses.
  2. Schools already registered are eligible for 50% off accreditation costs and free access to our virtual training courses.

*All accreditations and training must be undertaken by end of November 2021.

The cost of the Award is based on pupil roll, so for example, a school with 400 pupils will save £300 on their registration costs and a further £337.50 on their Silver accreditation cost and can access up to £680 worth of training. A total saving of over £1300.

The Rugby League World Cup 2021 believes that children deserve to be respected, have their talents nurtured and should lead happy, healthy lives. By supporting Rights Respecting Schools they are helping us to ensure children’s rights are used as a tool to improve outcomes for children in schools.
