These images were co-created with students at the schools, meaning that the subjects, composition and aesthetics of the images were all driven by the students themselves. The images were created across two different disciplines, with students learning about the processes in both reportage and studio photography, before ideating in groups, and telling UNICEF on how they thought to best represent their rights in images for both techniques. After UNICEF set up a professional studio set up in the middle of their school, students were asked to think about how to represent their favourite rights in a single image. While working with the photographer, the students explained why they chose the right they did, and why they wanted to photograph it this way. Rowan \u2013 We chose article 13, the right to protest. So we pretended to protest! Lana \u2013 We wanted to do a rights protest so people will know how to respect us and give us our dignity. Leon - All the posters are about a different right. Mines about access to information. Evie \u2013 I chose the right to a clean and safe environment, so we don\u2019t get sick.
