Hi! My name is Nina Py Brozovich, I am 17 years old, I am a college student and an environmental activist. I founded Fridays for future in my country, Bolivia, last year. My story From a very young age I have had my parents who have been interested in the environmental issue. We have the idea of not wasting anything, of recycling and reusing the things that we can. But they have also led me to places where I have been able to create a relationship with the environment, of respect and care. When I realized it was in danger, I decided to take care of it. Last year I found out from my dad, who had read an article about the Fridays for Future movement, and he told me what Greta Thunberg was doing. There I learned that there was a worldwide protest to demand that the authorities take stronger actions against climate change. I began to learn about what they were doing and realized that they did not exist in Bolivia. I was puzzled. We are such a biodiverse country, but in danger in this matter and we were not doing anything. So I created this movement in my city, La Paz. “We need strong actions, we’re calling all the people willing to join us in our movement, presenting proposals”. My present Despite the pandemic, I have continued to have virtual classes and my routine is still quite normal. I also meet quite often with my group, to continue organizing activities. When the quarantine began, the levels of contamination dropped, several animals began to take over the spaces of the streets and the plants began to re-emerge. That is very interesting, because it shows us that nature does not need us to regenerate.
