Support our Yemen Appeal
Yemen is facing one of the world’s worst emergencies. Right now, over 11 million children need urgent humanitarian support.
4.5 million people have been displaced throughout the country since 2015.
Health systems in Yemen are on the brink of collapse. Children have been killed in the ongoing conflict and recruited into the fighting — a fate that no child deserves.
Millions of children in Yemen are facing malnutrition and a distressing mental health crisis. Children are also going without clean water, adequate sanitation facilities and basic healthcare
You can help children by donating just £10 a month, over a year, to help bring three malnourished children back to health.
We must act now to protect Yemen’s children from the effects of war, disease and hunger. Please donate today.
How is UNICEF supporting children in Yemen?
We are working around the clock to protect children in Yemen.
The type of support we are delivering includes:
- Providing access to clean water to over 735,000 people.
- Helping over 58,000 children gain access to quality education by creating learning spaces and supporting the rehabilitation of schools.
- Working with partners to deliver emergency relief to 72,800 people across 18 governorates.
- Working with our partners to provide life-saving education on risks posed by mines, unexploded ordnances, and explosive remnants of war to over 1.3 million affected people.
Unfortunately, we don’t have unlimited resources to reach every child in need. We need your help to provide essential, life-saving supplies to the children who need them most.
"I came here because my son is malnourished. I was so scared." In a country where hunger is rampant, Sanad's mother was extremely worried about her baby Sanad's health. She came to Ibn Khaldoon hospital seeking help. With the help of therapeutic food administered by UNICEF health workers, Sanad was able to make tremendous progress in three months.
How to Donate to Yemen
One of the best ways to donate to Yemen is through a monthly direct debit.
A monthly donation enables us to provide continuous support to children when they need it most, through vital food, access to healthcare and a safe space. Children should not have to live in fear of hunger or conflict. Your donation can help protect children in Yemen.
Can I make a one-off donation?
If you prefer to make a single one-off donation, you can select this option on the donation form on this page or over the phone. £25 could provide over 2700 iron and folic acid tablets to help improve the nutrition of expectant mums.
Donating to Yemen by phone
If you’re in the UK and would prefer to make a donation by phone, you can call our dedicated donation line: 0300 330 5699.
For the first 3 months, monthly donations made to this appeal will go towards funding our work to support children affected by the emergency in Yemen. After that, donations will go to support our work around the world. Any Gift Aid claimed on donations made to this appeal will support UNICEF’s work around the world.
In the unlikely event that funds raised exceed what is needed, or if funds cannot be viably directed to this appeal, we will direct funds to support our work to help keep children safe and healthy around the world.
