Donate to our Lebanon Crisis Appeal to support us to reach children and families

Growing violence in Lebanon has forced tens of thousands of children and families to flee their homes to seek safety. Since 23 September, hundreds of people have been killed and thousands have been injured. Children in both Lebanon and Israel are navigating constant threats to their safety and well-being. No child deserves to experience this terror.

We are calling for the de-escalation of hostilities. We also urge all parties to uphold international humanitarian law, including the protection of children, civilians, and medical personnel.

Families in Lebanon need water and hygiene supplies. All schools in Lebanon have been closed and hundreds are being used as shelter.

Please donate to our Lebanon Appeal to support children and families in this crisis.

What are children experiencing in Lebanon?

  • 74,000 children have been displaced from their homes, including those already displaced from Syria.
  • UNHCR reports that thousands of people are fleeing to Syria due to the airstrikes, a neighbouring country also in crisis.
  • There are nearly 560 collective shelters, with most of them being public schools.
  • Children’s learning has been disrupted following the postponement of the new school year and suspension of classes.
  • 32 Primary Health Care Centres in high risk areas have closed, so many children have reduced access to healthcare.

You can support us to reach children affected by the crisis. Please donate today to protect children in Lebanon.

How are we supporting children in Lebanon?

Between 24-27 September, we have supported 35 collective shelters hosting more than 14,000 internally displaced people. These shelters are in South Lebanon, North Lebanon, Bekaa, Beirut and Mount Lebanon Governorates.

We have supplied:

  • 26,380 litres of bottled water
  • 6,600 blankets and 100 winter kits
  • 2,900 sleeping bags
  • 4,400 hygiene kits and 900 dignity kits with items tailored to the needs of women and girls
  • 1,210 baby kits with items tailored to the needs of newborns
  • 2 large high-performance tents to support shelter management operations

We need your support to reach more children and families with life-saving essential supplies. Donate to our Lebanon crisis appeal to support us to provide urgent relief.
