Donate to help us reach children and families in Gaza

The collapse of the ceasefire on March 18th has had a catastrophic impact on children and families throughout Gaza and the wider State of Palestine. The devastation on children is profound. With aid being denied, Gaza is now on the brink of famine. Time is running out. The blockade on aid must be removed immediately.

Widespread hunger has led to rising levels of malnutrition, including acute malnutrition: a condition where children become dangerously thin and susceptible to disease due to a lack of adequate food.

Nearly all children in Gaza are at risk of becoming malnourished

Widespread hunger has led to rising levels of malnutrition. 71,000 children are now facing acute malnutrition whilst food and other aid sits at the Gaza border unable to go in. In addition, nearly 17,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women also require treatment for acute malnutrition during this period.

We are doing everything we can to meet the needs of children and families, but we need your help.

You can help to provide life-saving food for children in Gaza with just £10 a month. This could provide a week’s worth of vital therapeutic food for a child in Gaza and give them a chance of survival.

Support our work for children in Gaza with a donation today.

How are we helping children in Gaza?

Throughout the blockade, we are working with our partners to support children and families in Gaza.

Between March and April 2025, we helped children in Gaza by:

  • Screening more than 85,000 children for acute malnutrition, admitting affected children to treatment programmes.
  • Reaching 23,700 children with ready-to-use complementary foods and preventive supplements.
  • Supporting 200,000 people with multi-purpose cash transfers.
  • Enabling 1.5 million people to access safe water through water trucking, system repairs, fuel for desalination plants and more.

Unfortunately, we are working with very limited resources and in volatile conditions that are quickly getting worse. We need your donations to help us support Palestine and reach more children.

How to donate to Gaza

One of the best ways to donate to Gaza and the wider State of Palestine is through a monthly direct debit.

A monthly donation means we can provide continuous support to children when they need it most, through vital food, access to healthcare and a safe space. Children should not have to live in fear of hunger or conflict. Your donation can help protect children experiencing conflict in Gaza.

Just £10 a month could provide a week’s worth of vital therapeutic food to a severely malnourished child.

However you choose to donate, you will be helping to make a difference to the lives of children.

FAQs

The ceasefire must be reinstated and sustained, all hostages must be released and reunited with their families. In addition, international humanitarian law must be respected, including allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza immediately.

In addition, we are calling for:

  • Prioritisation of children both now and in the process of recovery and reconstruction.
  • Meaningful responses to the conflict in Gaza must include trauma-informed child-centred services and development.
  • Lasting political solution to the crisis, so that children in Palestine and Israel can grow up in peace and free from the shadow of violence.

We are an impartial, non-political humanitarian organisation.

While we continue to report on and advocate for the protection of all children in both Gaza and Israel, our humanitarian response is driven by the need for aid in Palestine.

Before the renewed violence between October 2023 and March 2025, one million children needed humanitarian aid in Gaza and the West Bank. In high-income countries such as Israel, the State usually provides the supplies and services for children that we undertake or support in lower-income countries.

There is a National Committee for UNICEF in Israel – the Israeli Fund for UNICEF – that works to promote and raise awareness of children’s rights in Israel and to raise funds for our work across the world. You can find out more about its work here.

Alongside our partners, we have moved hundreds of trucks into Gaza with critical emergency supplies such as:

  • Hygiene kits
  • Nutritional food
  • Vaccines
  • Baby nappies
  • Water containers

We’re making sure life-saving supplies of therapeutic food, clean water, medical kits and fuel are in place and ready to go. As soon as aid is allowed to enter Gaza, we will scale up our work with our local partners in Gaza, to repair and resume critical services for children and families.

If you’re in the UK and would prefer to donate to Gaza by phone, you can call our dedicated donation line: 0300 330 5699.

You can send in your cheque, made payable to UNICEF UK, to the Donations Team, UNICEF UK, 1 Westfield Avenue, Stratford, London E20 1HZ. Please include a covering letter with your name and address details.

If you would prefer to make a single one-off Gaza donation, you can select this option in the donation form on this page or over the phone.

One of the simplest ways to donate to Palestine is by monthly direct debit. Please donate today to support Palestine and help improve the lives of children. As little as £5 per month can provide 1,786 water purification tablets to purify water.

How will your Gaza donation be used?

For the first 3 months, your monthly Gaza donation will go towards funding our work to support children in Gaza and the wider State of Palestine. After that, donations will go to support our work around the world.

In the unlikely event that the funds raised exceed what’s needed for the Gaza emergency appeal, or if funds cannot viably be directed to this appeal, we will direct funds to support our work to help keep children safe and healthy around the world.
