EARTHQUAKE
Donate to our Children's
Emergency Fund
A devastating earthquake has struck Morocco
Thousands of people have been killed and many more injured. Buildings have been damaged and destroyed in Morocco’s towns and remote mountain villages.
It’s the strongest earthquake to hit Morocco since the 1960s.
In an emergency, children are always among the most vulnerable. Families have lost their homes and are in urgent need of shelter, safe water and medical care. Our team in Morocco is mobilised and ready to support children and their families.
Help us reach children affected by disasters like the Morocco earthquake.
We are appealing for donations to our Children’s Emergency Fund. This is a vital resource for children in emergencies, just like the Morocco earthquake. With funds ready to go, we can reach the most affected children and families fast.
Donate today and help us respond to emergencies around the world.
What’s Happening in Morocco?
The search for survivors continues after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco on Friday 8th September. The epicentre of the earthquake was high in the Atlas Mountains, southwest of Marrakech.
Families are trapped under the rubble of their homes and hospitals are receiving an influx of injured people. The urgent search for survivors continues.
Aftershocks are likely to continue, putting children and families at further risk.
When disasters like the Morocco earthquake strike, we’re always ready to respond:
- We operate the largest humanitarian warehouse in the world
- We protect children from conflict, disasters and disease
- And we help them to keep learning
Make a donation to our Children’s Emergency Fund and help us to be there for children around the world whenever and wherever crisis hits.
