The International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes is an integral tool to help realise babies’ rights in relation to the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: enabling families to make infant feeding choices free from commercial influence, with full understanding of what is in their child’s best interest, and giving babies the best possible chance to grow, develop and flourish in their critical foundation years.
