This course aims to provide healthcare staff and other interested parties with the knowledge and practical skills required to implement the Baby Friendly standards for hospital-based children’s services.
There will be a strong focus on the importance of relationship building, involving parents as true partners in care, and supporting breastmilk use and the transition to breastfeeding.
Who is this course for?
The course is suitable for all staff working within hospital-based children’s services. Other staff who may be charged with training this group of staff may also find the course useful. There will be a strong focus on supporting participants to understand how the admission to hospital can impact on close and loving relationships and infant feeding journeys.
