Booking is now open for the 2025 Annual Conference taking place 12-13 November at the Telford International Centre

Abstract submissions for the poster display are now open – see information below and apply by Friday 6th June.

The Annual Conference provides a unique opportunity to engage with a high-quality programme backed by robust evidence, featuring expert speakers who are leaders in the fields of infant feeding and early relationship building.

Tickets include access to the full programme, a range of exhibitors, poster display, lunch and refreshments, and support from the Baby Friendly team.

Further details will be published on our website and via our news mailings in due course, but we are aware many of you will be keen to book.

Prices

We look forward to getting together in-person for two full days of speakers, talks, posters and exhibition. Pricing for this year’s event includes:

Both days:

  • Early bird discounted rate: £250 (for individuals booked before midnight on 31st July 2025)
  • Group discounted rate: £250 (available for groups of 5 or more until booking closes)
  • Standard rate: £290 (applies 1st August 2025 until booking closes)

Please note a both-day ticket applies only to one delegate attending each day of the conference and cannot be split between two people.

Single day:

  • Standard rate: £190 (applies until 31st October)

Booking closes at 5pm on 31st October. After this deadline, if tickets are still available, a late registration fee will apply. Please note booking may close early if our capacity limit at the venue is reached.

For an individual booking / group of less than five individuals

Please note we are unable to confirm bookings or issues invoices without a copy of the Purchase Order.

If an invoice is required by 31st March, please email [email protected] to request this. Your completed documentation will be required at least a week in advance.

  • Dr Britta Stordal, Associate Professor in Cancer Research, Middlesex University London – Breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer: A call for action in high-income countries with low rates of breastfeeding
  • Karen Read, UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative – 10 Years of the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly neonatal standards
  • Annie Aloysius, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust – What supports mothers of very preterm babies to start and continue breastmilk feeding in neonatal units: The differences between units with high and low breastfeeding rates
  • Natasha Powell and Jo Nicholas, Department of Health and Social Care – An update on the Infant Feeding Survey

Please note this is an in-person only event and it won’t be possible to attend virtually.

Abstract submissions for poster display now open

Apply now to present a poster showcasing your project, research or initiative relating to infant feeding and relationship building at this year’s conference. Selected posters will be displayed in print at the event and electronically on the Baby Friendly website after the conference.

To apply, download the form on this page and submit your abstract for consideration (maximum 200 words) by Friday 6th June.
